Overview
Offering a restaurant and baggage storage, the 3-star smoke-free 28 York Place Hotel Edinburgh lies in New Town, initially built in response to the deterioration of the medieval Old Town in the 18th century, 19 minutes' stroll from the Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh and just 1.3 km from such cultural places of interest as John Knox House. Boasting a location within reach of the spirelike Victorian memorial "Scott Monument", this Edinburgh hotel offers 10 rooms and a lounge bar onsite.

The restored theatre "Edinburgh Playhouse" is located merely 6 minutes' walk from the hotel, and such natural sites as the landscaped Princes Street Gardens are approximately 5 minutes away by car. The Canongate Church in Edinburgh is in the vicinity of the York Place.
Transport
28 York Place Hotel is right around the corner from Edinburgh bus station.
Nearby Attractions
The accommodation also lies close to gardens, and the art museum "Scottish National Gallery" is only 1.1 km away. The nearby entertainment attractions of Edinburgh include Edinburgh Gin Distillery, which is about a 20-minute walk away.
Rooms
The rooms overlook the city and feature a flat-screen TV with satellite channels and a DVD player along with coffee and tea makers. En-suite bedrooms and private bathrooms with a hair dryer and towels are also featured. The private bathrooms include a rain shower, a separate toilet, and a rainfall showerhead, as well as comforts such as a hair dryer and towels.
Dining
Guests can try breakfast, usually served at one of the on-site restaurants, for example at Bar28. There is a restaurant serving British food 400 metres away.
